Ernad Zecevic is a PhD student at Karolinska Institute (Stockholm, Sweden) attending the Mälardalsområdets Research School in Healthcare Science (MOF-V). As a member of the research group PeriBrainCare, he is working on the project Exploring Cognitive function and Postoperative Neurocognitive Recovery after cardiac surgery in older adults (ECPON). The aim is to increase the knowledge of postoperative neurocognitive disorders after cardiac surgery and help better understand the recovery process from both the patients’ perspective but also the loved ones.
Clinically, Ernad Zecevic works as a nurse anesthetist at Karolinska University Hospital (Stockholm, Sweden). He has a background within transplantation surgery and is a trained specialized nurse in pediatric care.
