Dr. Rebecca Madsen

Rebecca Madsen is the Manager of the International Federation of Nurse Anesthetists (IFNA) Anesthesia Program Approval Process (APAP). Prior to becoming the APAP Manager, she was a member and served as Chair of the IFNA Education Committee.
Rebecca has a passion for nurse anesthesia education and accreditation. She served as the Director of a nurse anesthesia program for 26 years. For 30 years, she was active in roles that support the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) in the US. She was a member on and Chair of the COA’s Board of Directors.
Rebecca had the honor of Chairing the Task Force that developed the COA’s first required entry level Doctoral Standards for nurse anesthesia education.
She was the Co-Chair of the IFNA/International Council of Nurses (ICN) Task Force which developed the ICN Guidelines on Advanced Practice Nursing: Nurse Anesthetists.
