Kesha Thurston, DNP, CRNA, MSHQS, MSHA(c), serves as the CRNA Manager for Multi-Specialty Anesthesia at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. With over two decades of healthcare experience, she is a published researcher, educator, and national speaker whose work focuses on clinical innovation, leadership, and health equity. Kesha has presented on topics including anesthesia management in complex patient populations, multimodal pain strategies, and workforce development. She actively mentors’ future nurse anesthetists and serves in leadership roles across academic, hospital, and professional organizations. Her dedication to advancing the profession is matched by her passion for service, education, and advocacy. Outside of her professional role, Kesha is a proud wife, mother of four, and grandmother of seven. She is honored to present at the World Congress of Nurse Anesthetists.
