Enjoy 10% off Day Passes at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary.
Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is the world’s first and largest koala sanctuary, established in 1927 and home to over 100 koalas. Lone Pine is a leader in koala care and a key contributor to vital research, partaking in countless research projects over the years in the studies of koala behavior, genetics, health, and most notably, the development of a koala chlamydia vaccine.
Nowadays, Lone Pine is a safe haven for over 75 species of native Australian animals. The sanctuary offers guests the unique opportunity to experience and encounter Australian wildlife, with conservation education at the forefront of the guest experience.
Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary also supports their partner in conservation, Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC), by donating $1 from every koala experience sold. The donated funds directly support AWC’s conservation land management work, including on two properties in Queensland, Curramore Wildlife Sanctuary and Mount Zero-Taravale Sanctuary. These properties protect more than 59,000 hectares of habitat, and provide a safe refuge for koalas along with hundreds of native plant and animal species, including 45 threatened species.
