John C. Preston, DNSc, CRNA, APRN, FNAP, FAANA, FAAN: Dr. John C. Preston is the Chief Executive Officer for the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA), located in Chicago, IL. Dr. Preston has been active in nurse anesthesia accreditation, education and regulation for over 30 years. His previous career accomplishments include APRN Representative to the Tennessee Board of Nursing, founding graduate director for the nurse anesthesia program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, President of the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, President of the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification, Senior Director for Education and Professional Development with the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and Professor at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. He has been a registered nurse since 1985 and a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist since 1994.
